Invitation to participate in the
Dear Friend, This letter is the first step to our meeting in September 17- 23, 2012 at the 5th Intercontinental Gathering of Wilderness Guides in Ukraine, Carpathian Mountains. We warmly invite you to participate in the Gathering, to share your experience and ideas of work, to deepen collaboration and to meet with old and new friends We hope that this Gathering will be fruitful for future development of wilderness rights of passage and our fertile land will be supportive for new beginnings. Let us together plant seeds for the future! We are now checking some beautiful places in the Carpathian Mountains. As soon as we have the final decision we will write you detailed information. But we are sure this place will combine wilderness and some comfort, camping and indoor rooms, and will hold and embrace all of us. We understand that our country is terra incognita for many of you. We are ready and open for providing you all necessary information and support. So, please, feel free to contact us about any questions via istoki-center@mail.ru We would like to invite everybody who wants to provide pre and post Gathering workshops and programs to write us as soon as possible for us to help with organization. Of course during the Gathering we will be offering events devoted to the exploring of wilderness areas in Carpathian Mountains, visiting historic places and acquainting with Ukrainian cultural traditions. We encourage families with children to attend. We plan to organize activities for them too. Our idea is somehow to help those of us who will be with children to have some free time for participation in the Gathering. So, we would like to ask if some of you are ready to volunteer as babysitters for several hours during the gathering. Please, let us know if you need anything specific in regards to visa applications. EU countries, USA, Great Britain need no visa. But some countries need visas. Please, consult with Ukraine embassy in your country. (Here you can find the list with the contact information about Ukraine embassies in different countries http://www.mfa.gov.ua/mfa/en/305.htm). We will be glad to help as much as we can. Please give yourself enough time and apply early. Please, help us to inform community about future Gathering as widely as possible - send this invitation through your networks, for those who work in this field or would like to work. Or you can give us e-mails if we miss somebody for sending this invitation. We invite you to enrich our circle with your body, emotions, activities, spirit and wisdom, with all our relations.
